The City of Crystal...

Colle di Val d'’Elsa or more simply "Colle", is situated in the heart of the Chianti region where the most important Tuscan wineries can be found and at a very short distance from Siena, Florence, San Gimignano and Volterra.

The earliest settlement dates back to the remote Etruscan-Roman times and even Dante mentioned Colle in the “Divina Commedia” (Purgatory XIII, verses 115-119).

Nowadays, Colle di Val d'’Elsa is known as the “City of Crystal” but its industrial activities are many and highly qualified and its cultural tradition has by no means been lost.

Colle is geographically and morphologically divided into three sections: Piano, Borgo and Castello. Le Tre Perle is located in the Piano at approx. 100m from the Crystal Museum and Piazza Arnolfo, the central point of the Piano.

The Porta Guelfa, the only remaining gate of the many original entrances of the Piano, is only 50m away. A view of the medieval town can be enjoyed from the windows of two rooms of Le Tre Perle.

Full of historical places, Colle hides many attractions which never cease to pleasantly surprise the tourists.

Furthermore, Colle hosts important and interesting events on a regular basis throughout the year.
